A heart and migraine connection?
The PREMIUM Trial is a clinical study designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of PFO closure as a treatment for migraines. AGA Medical LLC is conducting the randomized trial to evaluate whether PFO closure with the AMPLATZER PFO Occluder is effective in reducing the incidence of disabling migraines in subjects who are refractory to medical treatment. The trial will measure and compare headache frequency from those who receive PFO closure to those who do not.
